HIVE would like to hear the views of the Service community about the information service we provide. Please take our short survey here

If you are a subscriber to HIVE blogs, we want to let you know that UK data protection law changes on 25 May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect. This new legislation gives you more control over how your data is used.

We are taking this opportunity to update our subscription sign up options to make sure we provide our HIVE blog readers with the information they want, when they want to receive it. This means that if you are already a subscriber, emails you currently receive will stop and all readers will have the opportunity to sign up for new email updates as soon as the new subscription option is in place.

You can withdraw your permission to receive our emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of every email you receive from us.

RFEA - Early Service Leavers

RFEA provide resettlement support for Early Service Leavers (ESL) who leave the forces in the first four years, or leave compulsorily. If you have been discharged from the Armed Forces; either at your own request, before completing an initial four years of service; or compulsorily, you are an Early Service Leaver (ESL). Individuals become Early Service Leavers for many reasons, but no matter what the reason, RFEA is here to support you. We have been supporting Early Service Leavers since 2007.
You should be informed about the support available to you by your Unit Briefing Officer during the discharge process. The next step is to fill out a registration form. Military staff will forward your registration details over to theCTP Future Horizons team and they will either meet with you face-to-face for a discussion (if you are based close to one of our hubs) or give you a call as soon as you are discharged to discuss how they can best support you.  If you have not been informed about Future Horizons, or need help with this process please call our Central Support Team on 0121 262 3058.
The FHP Employment Advisor based in the area in which you wish to settle will work closely with you to give you:
  • Support and advice around career choices;
  • Researching the job market;
  • Job matching;
  • Training advice;
  • Helping you to develop your CV and interview techniques;
  • Expert industry knowledge and updates.
In addition, we can put you in touch with other military charities and organisations who can support you if you need support with wider issues.
Register here for support or contact us on 0121 262 3058 and speak to one of our experienced advisors.
